Brook & Barrel is owned by Barnes & Wallace Enterprises and began as a small tea company in 2018 in the Ozark Region of Missouri. It began and remains a family business, opened and operated by the Barnes Family. The Barnes Family is a large, humble family, consisting of 16 brothers and sisters, who joined together with the goal of creating an exceptionally high quality tea, that meets premium organic standards.

The family made a pledge to build a business with strong wholesome values and to sell a premium product above all else, which later became The Brook & Barrel Brand Promise.

Originally selling exclusively in the Ozark Region, the brand quickly gained popularity and is now being sold nationwide. In 2020 the company CEO and Farm Manager, Preston Barnes, purchased a large plot of land with an old church that would later become the corporate office and main farm location. 

With quickly growing demand, Brook & Barrel began sourcing tea from other small organic family farms from across the globe, that meet the same premium organic standards and values of the Barnes Family. 

Still struggling to meet ever growing demand, the company is growing rapidly, adding new ways to purchase and an expanding product line with expectations to add over 15 different products by 2024.
